The European Proposal Writing course (15 ECTS, certificate awarded by the University of Barcelona) is aimed at entrepreneurs, company managers, public agency staff and students interested in achieving a high degree of specialization in writing European project proposals in the area of innovation.
NEW EDITION! The starting day of the second edition of the course is 6th April 2021, finishing in July 2021. The classes are going to take place on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Given the variety of European funds, programmes and initiatives, the purpose of this course is to provide organizations with the necessary training for their internal staff to gain the specialization and technical capacity needed to formulate and manage EU-funded projects.
Horizon Europe, the European research and innovation programme, is an excellent source of funding for universities, research centres, companies and SMEs. Organizations seeking to apply for funding must anticipate and familiarize themselves with the new Horizon Europe requirements and priorities to successfully compete against the large number of submitted proposals.

Who is directing this course?
Dr María José Borreguero, PhD in Business Administration (University of Barcelona). Mentor and expert evaluator for several European Horizon 2020 programmes, including: SME Instrument and Fast Track to Innovation (FTI); Eurostars-EUREKA; and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology’s (EIT) EIT Health, EIT InnoEnergy and EIT Urban Mobility programmes.
Dr Borreguero has extensive knowledge and proven experience as an international consultant.
With over 15 years of experience in business strategy, she has broad expertise in biopharmaceutical and technology companies. In this time, she has participated in more than 180 successful internationalization and innovation projects and EU grant and project proposals.
Objectives
The main objective of the European Proposal Writing course is to equip participants with theoretical and practical knowledge of the European environment and the design of funding strategies involving European funding. Participants will take a practical approach, drafting a European project proposal.
