In addition to states, there are many other international actors, including international organisations, sub-state organisations, NGOs and multinational corporations, amongst others. All of these organisations require highly qualified, multilingual staff with a strong background in international policy and action and excellent negotiation, communication and leadership skills.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Master\u2019s programme in Diplomacy and International Organizations <\/strong>aims to produce professionals able to excel as diplomats, officials of the European Union and other international organisations, experts and advisors at organisations with international operations (NGOs, consulting firms, etc.), international project managers at government agencies, etc.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This preparation is rounded out with a <strong>compulsory internship<\/strong> at an embassy, consulate, permanent missions, international organisation, company or other organization.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\"><span title=\"\">The <strong>Master&#8217;s programme in Diplomacy and International Organizations<\/strong>&nbsp;is an official title from the 2019-2020 academic year, taught by the CEI International Affairs, Affliated Center to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ub.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Barcelona<\/a>.<\/span>&nbsp;The main <strong>advantages<\/strong> of an official Master is that it has an international recognition, it gives access to the Doctorate in the Spanish Education System and also to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.educacionyfp.gob.es\/en\/portada.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ministry of Education General Scholarships<\/a>.&nbsp;<span title=\"\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-family-anulat: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;\">Objectives<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>To become familiar with the structure, operation, requisite skills and means of accessing and preparing for a career in the diplomatic corps, at an international organisation, in the European Union, or at a multinational company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To gain a solid understanding of how the European Union works, its foreign relations, the common commercial policy, the internal market and competition law, and the free movement of persons, amongst other things.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To acquire a thorough understanding of the legal principles of diplomacy and paradiplomacy and of how to apply them, especially domestic law affecting international relations, international law, international trade law, and international contracts and arbitration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To learn about the principles of environmental protection and energy resource management from a legal, political and economic perspective, as well as about the principles and institutions of sustainable development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Who is it for?<\/h2>\n<p>University graduates interested in the subject.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The specific entry profile is for graduates in&nbsp;<strong>Law, Economics and Business Administration, International Relations, Political and Administrative Sciences, Global Studies, Sociology, History, Philosophy, Translation and Interpretation, Philology,<\/strong>&nbsp;or other degrees from the branch of the Social Sciences with a similar profile.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Master offers&nbsp;<a href=\"en\/continguts-academicscuso-en\">6 ECTS of compulsory training supplements<\/a>&nbsp;for students who do not come from the indicated degrees.<\/p>\n<h2>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<h2>Career opportunities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Diplomat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>International official at the UN, NATO, the EU and many other international organisations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advisor or expert on international matters at public institutions and, thus, careers in national, regional, provincial and local government.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Positions in the communication departments and international areas of businesses, foundations, schools, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Positions at foreign consulates in Spain.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>International relations expert at
