On 28th, 29th and 30th April, the students of the Human Security specialisation of the Master’s Degree in Diplomacy and International Organisations<\/a> (official qualification of the University of Barcelona) had the opportunity to participate in a tactical exercise at the General \u00c1lvarez de Castro Barracks.<\/p>\n

During this experience, the students took on the role of United Nations observers<\/strong> in a simulation of an armed conflict between two states. Their mission was to identify possible violations of International Humanitarian Law and document war crimes in a report to the UN Security Council.<\/p>\n

This activity was a unique opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the work of military personnel, as well as the complexity of international missions and the importance of coordination in the field. In addition, the students learned first-hand about the operations, values and challenges faced by the army in its work to protect international law.<\/p>\n
