The most powerful political and legislative organ is the Federal Supreme Council or the Council of Emirs, formed by the seven emirs, who choose their president every five years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nonetheless, since the founding of the UAE, the tradition is that the president of that body is the <b>emir of Abu Dhabi<\/b> (federal capital of the UAE), currently the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The prime minister, elected by the Federal Supreme Council is the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, also emir of Dubai and vice-president of the UAE.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Regarding the <b>economic situation<\/b>, the UAE is characterized by the high economic freedom enjoyed in the country. Its economy is highly based on the extraction and export of oil, although the jewelry production and export sector is also important.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Currently, Spain and the UAE are strengthening this diplomatic relations both in the political field with numerous meetings between the heads of State and Government of both countries and in the economic area that, despite the latest drops in Spanish exports to the UAE, their overall calculation has increased in 920 million euros since 2009.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <b>Hon.
