The Federal Republic of Germany, located in Central Europe, is a country rich in all types of forests and vegetation characterised by a very mountainous terrain.
The republic consists of thirteen federal states and three city-states. The official language is German and the official currency is the euro.
Germany has played a key leadership role in developing a coordinated European response to the economic and financial crisis of recent years. It has also assumed an increasingly prominent and decisive role in shaping and validating its national contribution to EU issues.
In this session, H.E. Mr Pablo García-Berdoy, Ambassador of Spain in Berlin, will offer an overview of the current economic, political and social situation in the country and of its trade and diplomatic relations with Spain.
