CEI International Affairs offers the Course on the European Union. A programme that, together with the Secretary of State for the European Union (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation), and in collaboration with the Department of Foreign Action and European Union of the Generalitat de Catalunya, provides a solid and comprehensive training on the institution. The course, available online and offline, has a prestigious programme and speakers.

Four modules:
The course on the European Union is designed to provide an in-depth and detailed understanding of this international organisation. Throughout the sessions, you will explore the current challenges it faces, including the management of the migration crisis, relations with other countries or the role of the European Union in the current international context.
Organised into four modules, each of them aims to study the foundations and challenges of the European Union. The legal and institutional system of the organisation will be analysed, exploring the role of its main institutions such as the European Parliament and the European Commission. It will also deal with external policy and action and the challenges facing the European Union, as well as the Common Agricultural Policy and the European Green Pact.
This course will provide a comprehensive overview of the European Union, allowing participants to understand and analyse the various aspects that make up this entity.

From 15 September to 27 October 2025.
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 16.00 h – 19.00 h.
The EU course is aimed at both civil servants and professionals interested in learning about the workings of the European Union. It is also a tool to complete the training of students of law, political science, management and public administration, international relations, economics, business administration, journalism and history, among others.
Participation: At CEI International Affairs headquarters, where attendees will interact with the speakers. Exceptionally, some sessions may be held at another location, such as the University of Barcelona.
Certification: Diploma awarded by the CEI Foundation, the Secretary of State for the European Union (MAEC) and the Department of External Action and Open Government (Generalitat de Catalunya).
(It is compulsory to attend at least 80% of the sessions).
Price 45th edition: Course subsidised by the State Secretariat for the European Union (MAEC). 75 € to be paid by the student (corresponding to management costs).
Participation: Attendees will connect to the course virtually as listeners.
Certification: Certificate of enrolment awarded by the CEI Foundation.

Possibility of organising a trip to visit the European Union institutions in Brussels. Cost to be paid by the students. The activity can be carried out as long as a minimum number of participants and availability of the EU institutions is met.
