Internships

The second part of the Master’s programme in Diplomacy and International Organizations consists of a compulsory internship at an international institution or organization that engages in work related to the programme’s content. This internship, which will have a duration of between 3 and 6 months, is worth 18 ECTS credits.

In all cases, CEI International Affairs supports each student’s candidacy, taking the necessary steps to help the candidate succeed in the selection process; however, it is not responsible for the host institution’s final decision.

Students who do not pass the host institution’s selection process, or who would prefer to opt out of the internship due to their work experience or age, must submit a Research Project (18 ECTS credits) to earn the master’s degree. The research project will be carried out under supervision. Interested students should request the relevant information regarding the project requirements.

Furthermore, in addition to passing the selection process, students must also successfully complete the academic portion of the master’s programme (i.e., pass all their courses with a minimum mark of 5 in each one) in order to proceed with the internship.

The expenses of the internship will be borne by the student.
