Internships / Project

As part of the practical training included in the Master in Sustainable Development, the students will carry out a mandatory Internship (from 4 to 6 months) or a Final Master’s Project (real project applicable to companies or institutions).
The CEI will guide the students throughout the process through personalized advice and specific training on CV preparation, letters of motivation and preparation of personal interviews.
Practical tracks
In addition to the common theoretical modules, the master’s programme provides for two different practical tracks depending on the student’s profile:

Recent graduates will have the opportunity to complete an external curricular internship at a company or institution. The internship must be related to the content covered in the programme and will have an expected duration of 4 to 6 months (24 ECTS credits). There’s also the possibility for recent gradutes to do a Master Final Thesis.

Students from the professional world will have to complete a project that can be implemented at a company or institution.

Some of our internships
- Subdirectorate General for Multilateral and European Development Policies. It corresponds to the General Directorate of Sustainable Development Policies (DGPOLDES), through the General Sub-Directorate of Multilateral and European Development Policies, in coordination with the organs of the State Administration that have competences in the matter, the preparation of the policy and monitoring of relations with multilateral development organizations and with the European Union; and collect and analyze the flows of Official Development Assistance through its statistical service.
- SIMBIOSY is a consultancy firm specialized in circular economy, using industrial symbiosis (IS) to help companies, municipalities and administrations identify possible synergies between industries by using agro-industrial resources data.
- Agirre Lehendakaria Center: Agirre Lehendakaria Center is a Social Innovation Laboratory established as a collaborative initiative between UPV-EHU and Columbia University (AC4)
- Novact: International Institute for Nonviolent Action promotes international peace building actions in conflict situations. The Institute has been created through the collective effort of those active in international civil society to contribute to a peaceful, just, and dignified world.
