The entry into the 21st century poses new challenges in terms of security unprecedented since the end of the Cold War. To traditional forms of military or economic challenges, new forms and doctrines will force states and international organizations to adopt innovative and multifunctional response policies. New technologies, as is inevitable, also become instruments for new threats, and cybercrime in all its variants has come to the fore. What can states and international organizations do in such a scenario?
