What are we going to debate in the next edition of the Course on Current Issues in Spanish Foreign Policy?
- The Spanish role in the European Union, because of the anti-Europeanist current and the Brexit. The speakers are going to be Mr. José Pascual Marco, General Director of Integration and Coordination of General Affairs of the EU, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation (MAEUEC). The academic counterpoint is going to be Dr. Laura Huici, professor of Public International Law, University of Barcelona (UB).

- Spain’s relation with the Mediterranean, because of the migratory crises. In this case, the panelists are going to be: Mr. José Luis Pardo Cuerdo, Ambassador in Special Mission for Migratory Issues, MAEUEC, and Dr. Silvia Morgades, Senior Researcher, Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

- The presence of Spain in the United Nations Human Rights Council, led by Mr. Marcos Gómez Martínez, Director General of the United Nations and Human Rights, MAEUEC, and Dr. Esther Barbé, Professor of International Relations, Autonomous University of Barcelona.

- Spain and the Middle East, emphasizing the Syrian conflict. The presentations and debate is going to be in charge of Mrs. Eva Felicia Martínez Sánchez, General Director for the Maghreb, Mediterranean and Middle East, MAEUEC, and Dr. Pere Vilanova, Professor of Political Science, UB.
