17 Jun 2025

On Friday, June 13, CEI International Affairs held the closing ceremony for the 2024/2025 class of its two master’s programs, both awarded by the University of Barcelona: the Master’s Degree in Diplomacy and International Organizations and the University-specific master’s degree in sustainability. Environment, society and economy.

The event marked the end of an academic year filled with learning, growth, and shared experiences. In keeping with CEI tradition, graduating students took part in the symbolic planting of the class tree, this year a magnolia, representing nobility and dignity.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Maria Teresa Costa Campí, Professor Emerita of Economics and Director of the Chair of Energy Sustainability at the University of Barcelona. Her speech offered insightful reflections on current and future challenges in the fields of diplomacy and sustainability.

The ceremony also featured remarks from Mr. Joaquim Llimona, CEI Director General; Dr. Ana G. Juanatey, Academic Coordinator of the master’s in Sustainability; and Mr. Adrià Reyes, Academic Coordinator of the master’s in diplomacy. All three expressed heartfelt appreciation for the students’ dedication, commitment, and development throughout the program.

CEI extends its deepest thanks to the faculty for their dedication, to the academic team for their unwavering support, and above all, to the students for their enthusiasm, resilience, and passion. Congratulations to the Class of 2024/2025!
