Didac Amat i Puigsech

Professor and Director of Research at CEI. Master's Thesis Supervisor.

Didac Amat is a lecturer in Public International Law and Research Director at the Centre d’Estudis Internacionals. Amat holds degrees in Law and Political Science from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a PhD in International Law from the same university, with specialization in climate change and sustainability.

In recent years, he has conducted research stays at the University of Cambridge (2025) and the University of Pretoria (2023), where he worked under the supervision of Dr. Dire Tladi, currently a judge at the International Court of Justice.

He has also undertaken other academic or professional stays in Hong Kong, Greece, and Peru. Before returning to academia, he worked as a researcher in a think tank and as an advisor to civil society organizations, participating in strategic litigation before the Supreme Court of Spain and the European Court of Human Rights.

He has taught Public International Law at UPF and at the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals.
