CEI International Affairs is an institution that works for and with professionals in the fields of diplomacy and international relations. Its main objective is to help them enhance their knowledge and develop their personal skills and abilities in order to achieve excellence, whilst at the same time training new professionals for careers in diplomacy, international public service, regional and local government, non-governmental organisations and/or public and corporate diplomacy.
This task, research and the promotion of dialogue through the organisation of seminars and conferences are the institution’s three main lines of work.
Founded in December 1987 by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, the University of Barcelona and "la Caixa”, CEI International Affairs has been committed to work in the fields of international relations, diplomacy, law, economics and multilateral policy from the outset, a commitment bolstered by 30 years of leadership in the field.
