Professor in the Department of Political Science at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Academic Director of the Diplomatic Career Preparation Program, Andrea Noferini holds a PhD in Economics from the Università degli Studi di Firenze (2006) and a Master’s in Political Science from UPF (2008).

For over two decades, he has lived and worked in Barcelona, collaborating with prominent research centers and think tanks in Catalonia and Spain, such as the Barcelona Institute of International Studies (IBEI), the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), and CIDOB, as well as with international organizations including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the European Commission, among others.

His academic and professional career in governance makes him a leading voice for analyzing and understanding the current challenges faced by governments (both national and subnational) in areas such as territorial cooperation, sustainable development, and global public policy.
