International Aula with the Spanish Ambassador to Kenya

This morning, CEI hosted a new session of International Aula, a key platform designed to foster collaboration, dialogue, and the creation of opportunities among diplomatic representatives, companies, and municipal institutions.

On this occasion, the event took the form of a luncheon-colloquium with Mr. Jaime Moreno Bau, Ambassador of Spain to Kenya — also accredited to Uganda and Somalia. The session was opened by Mr. Joaquim Llimona, Director of CEI, and Mr. Jordi Colgan, Director General for Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation.

During the discussion, members of the Executive Club gained first-hand insight into Nairobi’s growing importance as a strategic hub in East Africa, as well as the main factors for strengthening trade and institutional relations between Spain and Kenya.

The session also highlighted Kenya’s role as a key partner for both the European Union and Spain, underlining its political stability and economic dynamism as essential drivers of regional development.

The event provided the Executive Club with a closer look at the opportunities the country offers, particularly in sectors such as infrastructure, agri-food technology, and energy.
