CEI International Affairs, in collaboration with Fundación “la Caixa”, is offering, for the second consecutive year, a scholarship programme that covers 100% of the tuition fees of the Master’s Degree in Diplomacy and International Organizations (including pre-enrolment and the fees of the Universitat de Barcelona).

Likewise, a second call for internship scholarships will be launched, aimed at students who are recipients of the tuition scholarship, for the completion of internships abroad.

The objective of the “Fundación ‘la Caixa’ – CEI International Affairs” scholarship programme is to promote academic excellence and equal opportunities to access our postgraduate studies and to undertake the compulsory curricular internships abroad.

Documentation that must be submitted to apply for a tuition scholarship:

  • Certified copy or verification code of the university degree certificate, or in the case of not having completed the studies, the degree application receipt, which may be submitted until 31 July 2026.

  • Academic transcript of the university degree showing all grades obtained in each subject and the final grade point average if the degree has already been completed, or the transcript with the grades obtained up to the date of scholarship application if the degree has not yet been finished. The CEI International Affairs may subsequently request the official final transcript; if the university degree is not obtained before July 2026, the scholarship must be waived.

  • Curriculum vitae (CV).

  • Other accredited academic merits.

  • Registration certificate proving at least the last two years of residence in Spain; if this certificate is not available, one of the following documents may be submitted as proof of residence: housing or rental contract, official enrollment in in-person studies, or employment contract.

  • Final resolution of the general scholarship for university studies (GRAL) from the Spanish Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports corresponding to the last year of the university degree. If this scholarship has not been obtained, eligibility for the GRAL scholarship may be demonstrated by submitting the most recent family income tax return of the members of the same household living together, provided that the following income and asset thresholds are not exceeded: household of 1 person, up to €14,818; 2 persons, up to €25,293; 3 persons, up to €34,332; 4 persons, up to €40,773; 5 persons, up to €45,572; 6 persons, up to €49,196; 7 persons, up to €52,780; and 8 persons, up to €56,348.

  • Declaration confirming that the applicant is not currently studying and has not obtained a degree equivalent to a master’s level qualification, and that there is no intention to pursue another master’s-level degree simultaneously with the programme at the Centre d’Estudis Internacionals.

  • Declaration confirming that no other scholarship covering the same purpose for the same academic period has been obtained and that, should another scholarship be awarded during the master’s programme, the applicant undertakes to notify the Centre d’Estudis Internacionals and renounce one of the scholarships.

  • Declaration of truthfulness of the information provided.
