Visit to the U.S. Consulate General in Barcelona

21 Nov 2025

This morning, our students from the Master’s Degree in Diplomacy and International Organizations visited the U.S. Consulate General in Barcelona to gain a firsthand understanding of how U.S. public diplomacy operates in the city.

During the visit, the students met with the Consul for Public Diplomacy, who explained how the United States promotes its national interests, protects its citizens abroad, and strengthens cooperation with Catalonia, Aragon, and Andorra.

The students also had the opportunity to learn about the strategic role and mission of a U.S. consulate, as well as how diplomatic work contributes to global stability, security, and prosperity. The visit provided them with a broad and detailed perspective on public diplomacy and its significance in international relations.

We highly value these kinds of engagements, as they allow our students to gain a global perspective on international work and enrich their academic and professional development.
